Biography

Back in the day Florida astrophysicist Eric Whitney was playing in hardcore and doom metal bands when an irresistible pull lured him to LA’s underground rap scene. Under the handle Ghostemane he joined SchemaPosse, the erstwhile collective whose ranks included JGRXXN and the late Lil Peep. His lyrics betray a deep-rooted fascination with the occult, depression, nihilism and death. You think that’s scary, do you? Then do yourself a favour: don’t watch any of his videos or go to one of his black-metal-meets-hip-hop shows because they’re not for the faint of heart. Just ask anyone who caught his show at Trix earlier this year. Brace yourselves!
